PE Conductive Compound Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What color is PE conductive compound and what is it mainly used for?

A: It is usually black and is mainly used to produce conductive PE films. It is also used for semi-conductive shielding layers of wires and cables, electronic equipment parts and antistatic packaging.

Q2: What are the loading and resistance values of CT-08A?

A: At an addition amount of 30–60%, it is designed for conductive films 0.015 mm thick, reaching 1.0 × 10⁴–1.0 × 10⁶ Ω. It offers stable conductivity and good dispersibility with little loss in mechanical properties, can be processed after dry mixing, and leaves no powder on the product surface.

Q3: How does C403 compare with graphene-based and carbon black-based compounds?

A: C403 is a carbon nanotube-based conductive compound whose conductivity is significantly better than graphene-based and carbon black-based systems. It also offers extremely high elasticity and toughness, high room-temperature thermal conductivity and excellent axial thermal conduction. The thinner the nanotube diameter and the longer the length, the better the conductivity.

Q4: What are carbon black-based and carbon fiber-based compounds best suited to?

A: Carbon black-based compounds are inexpensive and easy to process and are the most commonly used conductive plastics for ESD composites in industry, but they have a high percolation threshold and require high loading. Carbon fiber-based compounds offer high specific surface area and aspect ratio for easy conductive-network formation, plus good mechanical strength and chemical stability — ideal for high-performance electrode materials and as composite reinforcements.

Q5: Can PE conductive compound be used in flammable or explosive environments?

A: Yes. In special environments such as coal mines and oil tankers where flammable gas or dust exists, conductive masterbatch can be used to make equipment housings and parts — for example, ventilation ducts in coal mines and oil storage containers on oil tankers — reducing static-related risk.

Q6: What automotive applications does PE conductive compound have?

A: It is used as packaging or turnover material for automotive electrical systems, fuel systems, water tank radiators and dashboards, and for interior parts and components, reducing static interference with automotive electronic systems and preventing static build-up.
